ACAM 390A (18S): Jenny Lu

This summer, 20 students from the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Land and Food Systems travelled to Hong Kong and Kaiping, China to research the heritage of Chinese migration. Taught by History professor Henry Yu, ACAM 390A (a Go Global seminar) gave students an opportunity to consider community-based, ethical practices while conducting research in a global setting. Students delved into research themes such as the changing nature of food traditions and practices over time and space, food as a form of medicine, and diasporic relationships to heritage and home.
